Plan the lights before the landscaping goes in.
Lighting for new homes and new landscaping: sleeves, conduit, wire and transformer locations planned with your builder, then fixtures installed once the plants are in.
- Planning: Layout and power coordinated with the builder
- Rough-in: Sleeves, conduit and wire before hardscape and plants
- Finish: Fixtures installed and aimed after planting

What it is, and why it matters.
New construction is the best time to plan lighting. Walls are open, trenches are easy and the landscaping has not been planted yet, so wire, conduit and transformer power can go in cleanly and fixtures can be placed exactly where the design wants them.
We work with builders, landscapers and homeowners on new homes in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. We plan the layout early, coordinate sleeves and power, rough in wire before the landscaping and install and aim the fixtures when the plants are in.
Four things done right.
Sleeves under hardscape
Conduit beneath drives and patios means wire can be added later without cutting concrete.
Power where it's needed
Outlets and transformer spots are planned with the electrician.
Fixtures after the plants
Fixtures are placed once real plants are in, so aim and placement are right.
Coordinated schedule
We work around the grading, hardscape and planting crews.

New Construction Lighting: common questions
When should lighting be planned on a new build?
As early as possible, ideally before the hardscape and landscaping are designed. Early planning saves cutting, patching and expense later.
Can the builder's electrician handle it?
Often the electrician provides power and outlets while we handle the low-voltage design, wire and fixtures. We coordinate the pieces.
How do I get a price for new construction lighting?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-431-3789. We confirm what is involved and send a written price, and most projects start with a free visit.
Ready to talk about new construction lighting?
A visit at dusk and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
