The overview

What it is, and why it matters.

A home sport court is only as useful as its lighting. Poor lighting means shadows, glare and bad bounces, and bright, unshielded lights send glare into the neighborhood. The right design lights the playing surface evenly and keeps the light where it belongs.

We light residential sport courts for homes in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. We use shielded LED fixtures on poles or structures, plan pole height and spacing for even light, choose a warm-white color that is comfortable for play and add timers so lights go off at a set hour.

Why owners choose it

Four things done right.

Even surface light

Shadows and hot spots are avoided.

Glare controlled

Shielding protects players' eyes and neighbors' views.

Timers

Lights go off at the hour you set.

Efficient LEDs

LED court lights use less energy than old floods.

Good questions

Sport Court Lighting: common questions

How bright should a home court be?

Bright enough for even play without glare. We design for the sport and the size, and check at night.

Will court lights bother neighbors?

Not if shielded and aimed down. We choose fixtures and aim carefully and add timers.

  • A night demonstration on your own trees and walls, so you see the real brightness and color before you decide
  • A written plan and price with the fixtures, the controls, the wiring and the cleanup spelled out
