The right power, to every last fixture.
New transformers, heavier wire, better connections and cleaner runs, so every fixture gets full voltage, stays bright and keeps working.
- Transformer: Sized with headroom and multiple taps
- Wire: Heavier gauge for long or heavy runs
- Connections: Waterproof, gel-filled connectors

What it is, and why it matters.
Landscape lighting runs on low voltage, and voltage drops over distance and with load. A transformer that is too small, wire that is too thin or connectors that have corroded all lead to the same symptoms: dim fixtures at the end of the run, flickering and burned-out lamps. Fixing the power fixes the light.
We upgrade transformers and wiring for homes in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. We measure the voltage at the fixtures, size a new transformer with some headroom, choose the right wire gauge for each run, replace failed connections with waterproof ones and rebalance the zones.
Four things done right.
Measured, not guessed
Voltage is measured at the fixtures, so the fix targets the cause.
Headroom to grow
A transformer with spare capacity makes future additions easy.
Right wire for the run
Heavier gauge keeps voltage up over distance.
Waterproof connections
Sealed connections prevent the corrosion that kills lights.
From first call to transformer and wiring upgrades.
- 01
Measure the system
We measure voltage at the transformer and the fixtures and list the problems.
- 02
Plan the upgrade
We choose a transformer and wire sizes that fit the load.
- 03
Replace and rebalance
Transformer, wire and connections are upgraded and zones balanced.
- 04
Test
We test every fixture at night and record the readings.

Transformer and Wiring Upgrades: common questions
Why are the lights at the end of my run dim?
Voltage drops along the wire. Long runs, thin wire or too many fixtures cause it. A heavier wire, a better layout or a bigger transformer fixes it.
How big should a transformer be?
A common rule is to load it to about 80 percent of its capacity or less, leaving room to grow. We calculate it for your fixtures.
How do I get a price for transformer and wiring upgrades?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-431-3789. We confirm what is involved and send a written price, and most projects start with a free visit.
Ready to talk about transformer and wiring upgrades?
A visit at dusk and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
